COOROY HOUSE DESIGN

 

Hidden away in a private valley of Cooroy in Noosa’s hinterland, along a dirt road and perched beside a picturesque creek covered with lilly pads and inhabited by the occasional platypus this tranquil setting was carefully considered, from the onset the orientation is both to optimise the view and also to capture the morning sun in the kitchen the openings were considered for natural ventilation to capture the predominant summer breezes. The materials used are humble almost austere in places which fits with both the rural setting and also the clients brief to spend money on custom joinery items, windows and doors rather than expensive floor and wall coverings.
